| | The NOC Intranet is for tracking various data related to network use. The
operations center is providing this centralized method of data tracking not only
to provide a uniform standard throughout campus, but to ensure that we have
accurate statistics of all campus wide network usage, and that we have the
necessary information for network control should any personnel or hardware
complications arise.
Any administrator on campus responsible for a piece of
equipment attached to the UCF network will need to use this web site for the following
reasons:
 | UCF's entire class B address space and all private address
space is tracked through the IPMan application. ITs must keep their
address space usage up to date. |
 | An inventory entry for anything that uses an IP address will
need to be made in the inventory application. Please note that this list
is completely separate from the official UCF inventory, and is for Network
Operations use only. |
 | An administrative login ID and password for all major servers
on campus will need to be registered with Network Operations through the
Inventory application. This account is for backup purposes only, and will
not be accessed unless an emergency arises. |
Any student that wants to use a personal computer on the UCF network needs to
login and register it with the appropriate registration database.
