Cisco IPSec VPN Setup Guide This guide was created using the basic procedures for Windows 2000 setup. These procedures will be very similar, if not identical on most Windows operating systems. Most of the directions on this page for configuring the Cisco VPN Dialer will be the same for Mac OS X users. Download the correct Cisco VPN Client Installer for your Operating System from the NOC Intranet site, https://intranet.noc.ucf.edu/vpn/ Once you have downloaded the Cisco Installer to your system, go to the folder where the installer was saved. Double-click the installer (labelled vpnclient-win-msi-4.0.Rel-k9.exe in this case) to extract the setup files.
Choose a folder in which to save the setup files, then click Unzip. Here we use the same folder that we used to download the installer - C:\downloads\cisco
Click OK when the files have been unzipped.
After the installer has extracted the setup files, you will see a file labelled vpnclient_en.exe. Double-click this file to start the Cisco setup program.
Click Next.
After you have read the license agreement, click the button for "I accept the license agreement", then click Next.
Choose the directory where you want to install the Cisco VPN Client software, then click Next.
Click Next.
The setup program will display it's progress...
Once the setup is completed, click Finish.
